Laurent Wagschal, piano
Laurent Wagschal est reconnu comme un fervent interprète de la musique française et un ardent défenseur de ses compositeurs. Sa discographie compte une trentaine d’enregistrements solo, de musique de chambre et de mélodies consacrés à Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Franck, Chausson, Debussy; mais aussi Magnard, Dukas, Pierné, Gaubert, Schmitt, Emmanuel, Cras, Thirion, Tomasi... En 2011 il est nommé aux Victoires de la Musique Classique dans la catégorie « Meilleur enregistrement de l'année » pour l'intégrale de la musique de chambre avec vents de Saint-Saëns réalisée avec les solistes de l'Orchestre de Paris. En 2017, il est nommé aux International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) pour son enregistrement consacré aux transcriptions de Leopold Godowsky.

Après des études au CNSM de Paris et à la Musikhochschule de Cologne, Pauline Bartissol reçoit les conseils d’éminents musiciens tels que Leon Fleisher, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Hatto Beyerle ou encore les membres du quatuor Ysaÿe. De 2007 à 2019, elle occupe le poste de co-soliste de l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Elle alterne avec un égal plaisir ses activités de chambriste au sein de diverses formations et collabore plus régulièrement avec des musiciens tels que le pianiste Laurent Wagschal, avec lequel elle fonde l’ensemble « Le Déluge », le saxophoniste et improvisateur atypique Jean-Charles Richard, ainsi qu’avec la flûtiste Marine Pérez et la harpiste Frédérique Cambreling au sein du trio Salzedo. Elle enseigne au CNSM de Paris depuis 2013 aux côtés de Marc Coppey.

Pauline Bartissol, Violoncelle

Pierre Fouchenneret, violon
Après des études au CNSM de Paris, Pierre Fouchenneret remporte le Grand Prix du Concours International de musique de chambre de Bordeaux, le Grand Prix Georges Enesco de la Sacem, devient lauréat de la fondation Natixis et artiste associé de la Fondation Singer Polignac. Artiste insatiable, il est invité sur les scènes du monde entier, cet "archet hors norme" (Le Figaro) est reconnu par les orchestres français et internationaux pour son audace et sa vision du répertoire. Il se produit régulièrement avec des musiciens d’exception tels que le Fine Art Quartet, Jean-François Heisser, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Julien Leroy, Nicolas Angelich.

Sébastien Surel, violon
Admis à 15 ans au CNSM de Paris où il obtient deux Premiers Prix, Sébastien Surel se perfectionne auprès de Shlomo Mintz, Pavel Vernikov, Georgy Sebök et du quatuor Ysaÿe. Après son expérience de l’orchestre symphonique en tant que violon solo de diverses formations puis au sein de l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, il décide de se consacrer entièrement à ses activités de concertiste et de chambriste. En 2004, il fonde le trio Talweg avec Eric-Maria Couturier et Romain Descharmes. En 2014, il crée avec Vincent Segal et Tomás Gubitsch le trio Camara Pop. En 2018, il rejoint le quatuor Ludwig en tant que 1er violon.

Ayako Tanaka, violon
Ayako Tanaka est super soliste de l’Orchestre National de Lille. De 2009 à 2017, elle occupe le poste de co-soliste de l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France. Plusieurs fois lauréate de concours au Japon, elle vient étudier en Europe et entre au CNSM de Lyon. Elle remporte en 1995 le Premier Grand Prix au Concours International "Rovere D'oro". De 1997 à 2007, elle tient le poste de premier violon du quatuor Psophos qui remporte en moins de trois ans de nombreux prix dans les plus grands concours internationaux : Londres, Osaka, Florence et Salzbourg. Elle obtient en 2001 le Premier Grand Prix ainsi que le Prix à l’unanimité de la presse internationale au Concours International de quatuor à cordes de Bordeaux.

“A singular pianist, endowed with amazing charisma” (Le Monde), Laurent Wagschal is recognised as a fervent interpreter of French music and ardent defender of its little-known composers. His discography, warmly received by the press (Télérama, Diapason, Classica, Pianiste Magazine, Gramophone, The Guardian...), consists of some thirty solo, chamber and melody recordings devoted to Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Franck, Chausson, Debussy; and also Magnard, Dukas, Pierné, Gaubert, Schmitt, Emmanuel, Cras, Thirion, Tomasi... He has been nominated for the “Victoires de la Musique Classique” 2011 in the category "Best Recording of the Year" for the integral of chamber music with winds of Saint-Saëns performed with the soloists of the Orchestre de Paris. In 2017 he was nominated for the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) for his recordings consecrated to transcriptions by Leopold Godowsky. A passionate lover of chamber music that he plays in all its form with partners from many different horizons, he is the laureate of many international concerts in this musical area (Florence, Trapani, Trieste). Laurent Wagschal is co-founder and artistic director of the "Festival le chant de la rive", a festival created in 2010 and held in Saint-Pol de Léon in the Finistère (France).

Pauline Bartissol, Cello
A graduate from the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) and also the Musikhochschule of Cologne, Pauline Bartissol has been advised by eminent musicians such as Leon Fleisher, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Hatto Beyerle and members of Ysaÿe Quartet. She has proved herself to be an eclectic cellist whose musical path resonates with genuine curiosity and a sense of sharing. From 2007 to 2019, she has held the post of 2nd cello soloist in the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Myung-Whun Chung, then Mikko Franck. And since 2013, she has been teaching in the Paris CNSM as Marc Coppey’s teaching assistant. She alternates with equal pleasure as a chamber musician with several musical groups: often collaborating with pianist Laurent Wagschal with whom she founded the ensemble "Le Déluge"; and with the atypical saxophonist and improviser Jean-Charles Richard. Also the flutist Marine Pérez and the harpist Frédérique Cambreling, making up the Salzedo Trio. Since its beginnings in 2010, the Salzedo Trio has made a name for itself with its wide variety of projects (contemporary creation, theatre of objects, interdisciplinary groups…). The following composers wrote musical works specifically for the Salzedo Trio: Riccardo Nillni, Zurine Guerenabarrena, Joan Magrané-Figuera, Nina Senk and Brais Novoa Loira. A Tôn Thât Tiêt album was published in the fall 2019, including the world premiere recording of two works: Mémoire des sons and The Endless Murmuring I.

Pierre Fouchenneret, violin
Having completed his studies at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM), Pierre Fouchenneret won the Grand Prize in the Bordeaux International Chamber Music Competition, became laureat of the Natixis Foundation and associated artist of the Singer-Polignac Foundation. He was also awarded the SACEM Grand Prize Georges Enesco. Always interested in new projects, Pierre Fouchenneret likes to spend several years studying the works of a single composer followed, most often, by recording them surrounded by excellent chambers musicians. His discography already includes 20 or so recordings. In 2016, for example, he recorded all the Beethoven violon and piano sonatas with Romain Descharmes. Then, in 2018, he completed the first volume of Gabriel Fauré's chamber music, with Simon Zaoui and Raphaël Merlin. He also launched his ambitious project of playing all Brahms' chamber music, with the Strada Quartet, Eric Lesage, Florent Pujuila, Adrien Boisseau … His recording of the Schubert and Raphaël Merlin octets, with Nicolas Baldeyrou, David Guerrier, Marc Desmons, was published in the spring of 2020. Pierre Fouchenneret is invited to play all over the world and this “extraordinary bow” (Le Figaro) is acknowledged by French and international orchestras as an audacious and visionary artist. He plays regularly with other exceptional musicians such as: Fine Arts Quartet, Jean-François Heisser, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Julien Leroy, Nicholas Angelich.

Sébastien Surel, violin
Sébastien Surel entered the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) aged 15. He won 1st prizes for violin and chamber music, then he studied with Pavel Vernikov, Shlomo Mintz, György Sebök and the Ysaÿe Quartet. After his experience as solo violinist with various symphony orchestras, then with the Orchestra Philharmonique de Radio France, he decided to focus on his activities as concert player and chamber musician. In 2004 he founded the Talweg Trio with Eric-Maria Couturier and Romain Descharmes. In 2014 he created the "Camara Pop Trio" with Vincent Segal and Tomas Gubitsch. In 2018 he became 1st violin with the Ludwig String Quartet. Defending with passion the great repertoire from baroque to today’s music, Sébastien Surel’s career is punctuated by many projects along with Martha Argerich, Roland Pidoux, Antoine Tamestit, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Claire Désert, Xavier Philips, Nicolas Altstaedt, Michel Moraguès, the Ébène Quartet and also with members of the Wanderer Trio. His musical adventures take him beyond the borders of what is called classical music. Thus Sébastien Surel shares the stage with great artists of jazz, world music and tango, such as Juanjo Mosalini, Jean-Philippe Viret, Ibrahim Maalouf, David Linx or Richard Galliano. He has made over twenty recordings embracing all these musical styles.

Ayako Tanaka, violin
Concertmaster of the Orchestra National de Lille since 2017, Ayako Tanaka, originally from Osaka, received her musical education in the strictest Hungarian tradition. She won several prizes at competitions in Japan and received her European music education from Tibor Varga, then she entered the Lyon Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) in 1995, in the class of Peter Csaba. In 1995 she won 1st prize in the International Competition Rovere d'Oro. From 1997 to 2007, she held the post of 1st violin with the Psophos Quartet who, in less than three years, won numerous prizes in major international competitions: London, Osaka, Florence and Salzburg. This culminated in 2001 with both the First Grand Prize and the unanimous International Press Prize in the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition. In 2005, the Psophos Quartet was nominated at the Victoires de la Musique in the category "Best musical ensemble of the year", followed by the BBC3 radio in London inviting the quartet to join the prestigious series « New Generation Artists ». From 2009 to 2017 Ayako Tanaka held the post of soloist with the Orchestra Philharmonique de Radio France under the direction of Myung-Whun Chung. At present she is Philippe Graffin's assistant at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM), she also teaches advanced classes at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lille. Since 2006, Ayako Tanaka has been playing a 1628 Niccolo Amati violin belonging to two anonymous sponsors.
