Before the war, there was a very famous choral in Sarajevo. This choir was mainly composed of Croatians, but also of Serbs and Bosnians. On day, during the bitter winter of 1994, in spite of the shellings, the hunger and the frostiness, those men and women had the strength to gather in the Sarajevo’s cathedral to sing.
This unique concert of choir and organ is much more than a moment of beauty and perfect harmony, it s a genuine and sublime testimony of resistance and hope.
Those that we have forgotten greet us, they sing…

This CD has been recorded by Jean-Yves Labat de Rossi, in March 1994, in the Sarajevo’s Cathedral, in the besieged city of Sarajevo.
The Trebevic Choir of Sarajevo interprets here pieces from traditional Balkanise repertoire, classical repertoire and contemporary repertoire composed by Josip Magdic.
Following the Choir’s escape through the Sarajevo’s airport tunnel, this recording has been promoted, in 1994, by 37 concerts, from Notre Dame de Paris to the Vatican.
