Singing together to resist barbarity

There was, before the war in Yugoslavia, a famous choir in Sarajevo, made up of Croats, Serbs and Bosnians.

These men and women had the strength to get together one winter's morning in 1994 in Sarajevo Cathedral, despite the bombardments, despite the cold, despite everything. And they sang. This unique concert for choir and organ was more than a moment of perfect beauty and harmony, it was a real act of resistance and hope.

During the aftermath of this choir's escape through a tunnel linked to Sarajevo airport, the recording "Voix de l'Oubli" was promoted by a series of 37 concerts, from Notre-Dame-de-Paris, to the Vatican.
