Roustem Saïtkoulov

Roustem Saïtkoulov est issu de la prestigieuse école russe de piano. Né à Kazan, il se forme au Conservatoire Tchaïkovsky de Moscou auprès de la grande pianiste Elisso Virsaladze.

Une série de prix internationaux lui ouvre les portes des grandes salles : Gaveau, Pleyel et le Théâtre du Châtelet à Paris, le Wigmore Hall et le Barbican Centre à Londres, l’Accademia Santa Cecilia à Rome, le Victoria Hall de Genève, le Tonhalle de Zurich, le Konzerthaus de Berlin, la Grande salle du Conservatoire Tchaïkovski de Moscou, la Philharmonie de Saint-Pétersbourg, le Metropolitan Art Space de Tokyo, le National Center for the Performing Arts à Pékin, l’Opéra de Sydney, le Teatro Colón à Buenos-Aires, le Palacio de Bellas Artes à Mexico, ainsi que les festivals de Bologne, Menton, La Roque d’Anthéron, Montreux, Edimbourg.

Son premier disque « Piano Etudes » (Arensky, Chopin, Prokofiev, Scriabin, Stravinsky) paru chez EMI Classics fit évènement parmi les critiques européens. En 2012 il enregistre à Londres les deux concertos de Chopin avec le Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, et plus récemment, le Concerto n° 1 de Chostakovitch ainsi que le Concerto pour trompette, piano et orchestre à cordes op. 92 de Jaan Rääts avec l’Orchestre des Pays de Savoie.

Roustem Saïtkoulov se produit avec de grands orchestres : le Royal Philharmonic Orchestra de Londres, l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Prague, le Tonhalle de Zurich, l’Orchestre RAI de Turin, le Sinfonia Varsovia, l’Orchestre Municipal de São Paulo, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Pékin ou le Tokyo New City Orchestra. Il effectue également plusieurs tournées avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Saint-Pétersbourg sous la direction de Yuri Temirkanov, en Europe et en Asie.

Formant un duo avec le violoniste Maxim Vengerov depuis de nombreuses années, il est invité par les salles les plus prestigieuses des quatre continents, dont récemment le Suntory Hall de Tokyo, Carnegie Hall de New York et la Philharmonie de Paris.

Roustem Saïtkoulov belongs to the prestigious Russian School of piano playing. Born in Kazan, he studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow under the renowned pianist Elisso Virsaladze.

A series of international prizes have resulted in appearances across the globe: the Salles Pleyel and Gaveau and the Châtelet in Paris, the Wigmore Hall and Barbican Centre in London, the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Grande Salle of the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, the St Petersburg Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Art Space in Tokyo, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Pekin, the Sydney Opera House, the Teatro Colón in Buenos-Aires, the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico, as well as festivals in Bologna, Menton, La Roque d'Anthéron, Monteux and Edinburgh.

His first recording, "Piano Etudes" (Arensky, Chopin, Prokofiev, Scriabin, Stravinsky) appeared under the EMI Classics label and was an immediate success among European critics. In 2012 he recorded the two Chopin piano concertos with the Royal Philharmonic in London, and more recently the Concerto No. 1 of Shostakovich as well as the Concerto for trumpet, piano and string orchestra op. 92 of Jean Rääts with the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie.

Roustem Saïtkoulov has performed with some of the great orchestras: the Royal Philharmonic of London, the Orchestre Philharmonique of Monte Carlo, the Symphony Prague Orchestra, the Zurich Tonhalle, the RAI Orchestra of Turin, the Sinfonia Varsovia, the São Paulo Municipal Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo's New City Orchestra. He has made many tours in Europe and across Asia with the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under its conductor Yuri Temirkanov.

He has played alongside the violinist Maxim Vengerov for many years, appearing in the most prestigious venues across four continents. These have recently included the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Carnegie Hall in New York and the Philharmonie in Paris.
